A painting for Jisoo's birthday in 2019.
It's a bit old now, but it was a piece where a lot came together for me which I'd like to use as a benchmark going forward.
Completing this piece proved to me what I can achieve if I persevere, and also was one of several experiences that taught me about burnout and pacing that year.
Although I knew the hair wasn't the best it could be, I wasn't sure how to (practically and efficiently) improve it either, and producing what I did in time for the deadline (of Jisoo's birthday) made me really proud of this piece - and I still love the rendering of the velvet today.
